We’ve always known that elephants are one of the most relatable creatures in the world. They are intelligent, have complex consciousnesses, and are capable of strong emotions. As a keystone species, they play an important role in maintaining the biodiversity of the ecosystems in which they live. Sadly, the ivory trade and accelerating habitat and range loss have put elephant populations at risk.

Meredith is a recent graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she majored in Public Relations in the Hussman School of Journalism and Media. She was a member of a modern dance company throughout college and has recently enjoyed creating meals with produce from her garden.

Arya was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago and loves being outdoors, whether on a beach or hiking a trail. She recently graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in economics and has strong interests in both the environmental and social sectors. She’s currently obsessed with dalgona coffees and suggests you try it if you haven’t already!
